Graham’s London Marathon

The year 2025 has ended and we look to embrace the new year 2026. I wonder how last year unfolded for you? What were the pathways you chose and how did they work out for you, either in a good or bad way? What has been the testing times for you? How did those unexpected and planned for events take place and did they bring you joy, satisfaction or despair?

On the 26th April 2026 I am running the London Marathon in support of the vital services that the charity Shelter provides throughout the UK.

The first time I ran the London Marathon it was for Shelter, twenty one years ago in 2005. During that time l was working for Adullam Homes at the Bethany Project in Bury Greater Manchester. It is a vital supported housing scheme for ex-offenders, those recovering from drug and alcohol abuse and people who are homeless.

The housing crisis continues today and is a national emergency and right now, millions of people are trying to get by without a safe place to call home.

The London Marathon is a huge challenge but so is the fight against the housing emergency. My family home is very important to me and that is why I am running the London Marathon to raise funds for Shelter.

The more people that know about Shelter the greater the impact will be. Please spread the word by sharing my page far and wide, with your friends, family, colleagues and as many people as you can reach.

A Home Is Everything’ so be inspired by Phil Collins song Another day in Paradise
